Here is a list of new St Petersburg Tram Collection releases:TRAMS:
The famous Milan Peter Witt tram is available now in its old two-tone livery with trolley pole, is a Iimited edition of 25 models (Ref 115a) The first street car from Milwaukee, WI is also ready. This is a 900-series car, built by the St Louis Car Co for TMER&L company between 1924 and 1929 (Ref 400), 1:48 scale, limited to 100. TROLLEYBUSES:
A new European trolleybus model is ready now. This is a Finnish Valmet trolleybus of 1949, available both in Tampere (Ref 127) and Helsinki (Ref 127a) liveries It was called by Valmet the JD and many components were imported from Britain, electrical equipment by British Thomson Houston (BTH), brake and air pressure system by Westinghouse and axles by Kirkstall. Only 25 models will be built in Tampere livery and 25 in Helsinki livery.
A new Boston trolleybus is a 1950 ACF-Brill TC-46 (Ref 159); Boston received 25 such vehicles with aluminium bodies and General Electric electric equipment. These buses were used on the Cambridge system for many years, remaining in service until 1963. This model is limited to 50.

Classic Commercials have added more 1:43 vehicle kits. Following our earlier O Series Bedfords, we now have kits for two short wheelbase tippers, one with the standard curved-front bonnet and one with the pug-like wartime austerity nose, and a pair of articulated Bedford-Scammell rigs with flat trailers and the same cabs. The kits have parts in white metal, resin, cast and etched brass. A standard O tipper costs £39.95, the austerity version (OW) costs £41.95, and the standard and wartime artics cost £42.50 and £44.00 respectively. For scratchbuilders and converters, the artic semi-trailer is available separately at £10.95 and there is also a full set of single-truck wheels (seven in all, two double-rears, two fronts and a spare) for £6.95. Post on all kits is £1.00.Another introduction is the little Lister petrol-driven autotruck, which puttered around railway stations, factories and industrial yards worldwide. It is a straightforward little kit with just a few parts in cast white metal and brass, and comes complete with two figures, one driver and one standing workman. It costs £10.95 plus 75p post and is ideal for collectors who haven't yet tried their hand at making kits. Next release is a highly-accurate, kit of the ultimate and ubiquitous railway hauler, the Scammell Scarab, the first ever Scarab, we think, in 1:43 scale.

Now the Smart is available as promo in 1:43 scale, by Herpa, well detailed in black with mad red inserts, which can be changed to hello yellow, odd names for colours. This nice model has better roadholding on an slippery table than the real cars have on snowy roads. It is strange to constantly hear more bad stories about this car which is based on a really good idea, to relieve city traffic. At last the Ford Focus three-door-saloon is available in 1:43 scale. This new bestseller in the Ford programme can now be added to collections. In comparison-tests, it beat even the Volkswagen Golf IV in the VW-friendly German magazine Auto Motor-Sport. It has been scaled down well by Minichamps. The model reflects the New Edge-Design very accurately, and it is available initially only as a promo directly from Ford dealers.AUDI ALLROAD QUATTRO

First shown to the public as design study, the Audi Allroad Quattro was at the Detroit Motor show in 1998 officially as a concept car. Due to the high number of inquiries, the car was developed for production very quickly, possibly at Frankfurt this Autumn it will be presented in production style. So Audi will be able to offer an alternative to the also new cross-country estate BMW X5. This Audi Allroad is now available in 1:43 scale thanks to Inmocar. This company for exclusive model cars, founded by two Audi engineers, got permission from Audi to make a limited edition of 150 handbuilt items. All the typical design features, the three-colour-painting (roof, body and wheel-arches), the unusual roof design, detailed head lights (with Bi-Xenon modules and integrated fog-lamps) and multi-dimensional rims (Twin-Force-Design) are included. The model looks at first sight as if it stands too high, but this is typical of the real car, its pneumatic height regulation automatically rises to the highest position when parked. This handmade resin model, painted in original colours, is supplied in a acrylic show case with numbered baseplate. When Henry Ford built his outdoor museum at Greenfield Village, he added Smiths Creek Railroad Station, where the 12 year old Thomas Edison was thrown off a train afte accidentally starting a fire in a baggage car during an experiment. Ertl have now produced a model of this building in their American Country series, a 1:160 resin casting. Here are the plans for new Spa Croft Models for 1999. A previously unannounced model will be the Austin A70 Hampshire Countryman, or ëshooting brake' as they were often called at the time. Whilst the final choice of colours has to be made, the master is completed and ready for casting. Summer release is hoped for. Mastered by Pete Kenna, the model will be to the same standard as the Spa Croft Hampshire saloon and the Hereford estate produced in Kenna Models' own range. Work on the master of the Standard Vanguard Phase III is well advanced and Autumn release is aimed for, hopefully in time for Modelex 99. The third model is the Hillman Minx Californian hard top coupe. A common sight in the fifties, this model will be a colourful addition to the Spa Croft range, in the distinctive two tone colour schemes of the original vehicles. Pete Kenna will also master the Standard and the Hillman. As with the four Spa Croft models currently available, each will be produced in two different colour schemes in the standard range (200 of each), with a further 100 models available for finishing to customer specification.
